St.Tropez LFW tanning trends

With one of their products sold every 15 seconds, it’s no surprise that St.Tropez featured on an array of catwalks at this season’s London Fashion Week. The leading tanning brand featured in shows for shoe designer Sophia Webster along with celebrity favourite Julien Macdonald and more. Take a look at the upcoming tanning trends for SS17 as we highlight our favourite St.Tropez looks from London Fashion Week.

‘Dreamgirls’ meets Hitchcock’s ‘The Birds’ was Sophia Webster’s inspiration behind her SS17 collection. The soft, shimmering skin finish created by St.Tropez Gradual Tan Tinted body lotion brought this look to life and added a subtle shimmer to enhance the models for the show. Skin was first moisturised with St.Tropez Tan Enhancing body moisturiser then a base layer of gradual tan was buffed into skin. The gradual tan was added a second time to shoulder blades, collarbones and shins to highlight these areas and make the vibrant shoe collection stand out.

House of Holland – The Rustic Romani Glow

By buffing the new St.Tropez Instant Tan wash off Face and Body lotion (available from January 2017) into the skin, House of Holland were able to create a sun-tickled glow, similar to the Romani travellers that inspired the elaborate collection. The new St.Tropez 3 in 1 Instant Bronzer (available from January 2017) was then dusted onto shoulders and collarbones to highlight skin and perfect the look.

Julien Macdonald – The Super Yacht Gleam

The inspiration behind Macdonald’s SS17 collection was the indulgence and glamour of the French Riviera and those who holiday there. Using St.Tropez Self Tan Dark Bronzing Mist, models were given a deep, golden colour. St.Tropez Self Tan Luxe Dry Oil was then applied over the top, along with an oil mist for a wet-look skin finish and ultimate supermodel gleam. “This look is glossy, expensive and healthy,” said St.Tropez Tanning and Skin Finishing expert Emma Kotch. “There’s a hint of the powerful feminine beauty of the ‘90s supermodel.”

Preen by Thornton Bregazzi – The Mystic Haze

This season’s Preen collection was mystical, with a gothic yet floral edge and references to Paganism throughout. To match this ethereal theme, models were given a subtle glow using the new St.Tropez Self Tan Advanced Bronzing Mist (available from March 2017). For the ultimate dewy finish, skin was prepped with St.Tropez Tan Enhancing body moisturiser. The tanning mist was then added to skin to create a sun-kissed glow. “This season’s Preen girl is beautifully mystical, with a soft, hydrated glow on skin’s focal points where the sun would fall naturally,” said Emma Kotch.

Temperley – Sunset Bohemian Sheen

Laid-back, festival cool was the vibe on the Temperley catwalk this London Fashion Week. To enhance the relaxed, bohemian collection, the new St.Tropez Instant Tan Finishing Gloss (available from March 2017) was buffed all over the model’s bodies to add a hint of bronze to the skin. Key areas such as collarbones and shins were highlighted to replicate the natural tan achieved after a day spent in the sun.
