L’Oréal source essentielle

Natural ingredients and vegan formulas are becoming increasingly popular with clients. Bursting with revitalising, nourishing ingredients the new, natural* range from L’Oréal will be perfect for your nature loving customers.

The source essentielles range is natural, vegan friendly and free from silicones, sulphates, parabens and synthetic fragrances. Tailored to compliment your client’s individual needs the range caters for all hair types, including fine hair, coloured hair and sensitive scalps.

Our team have been testing the products for the past few weeks, read on to find out what they thought about the range.

Delicate shampoo

Ruby – I was drawn to the delicate shampoo as I have quite sensitive skin and it claims to be good for delicate skin and scalp types. I also have quite fine, knotty hair so thought something gentle would be good for my hair type. The scent of the shampoo is quite light – you can smell the chamomile but it’s not too overpowering. The shampoo lathered up really well and left my hair feeling really clean and refreshed and also really shiny!

Ellie – After quite a lot of bleaching, my hair is a little damaged and brittle, so I was drawn to the delicate shampoo from the source essentielles range. The packaging is beautiful and the smell is light and delicate, a perfect addition to any salon or bathroom. I love how the products are made from naturally derived ingredients, it makes me feel like I am being kind to my hair.

I have been using the shampoo for 2 weeks now and I can definitely see a difference. After the first wash, my hair felt super clean, refreshed and bouncy. Over the past few weeks of use, the condition of my hair has improved, my hair now feels stronger, healthier and is much glossier.

I think this new product will be my new “go-to” shampoo. I can’t wait to try the rest of the range!

Daily detangling cream

Ruby – As my hair can be really knotty, I thought the daily detangling cream would be great for me. I applied it to the ends of my hair, which can be quite dry, and left on for around 5 minutes. After rinsing, my hair felt really nourished and soft and was relatively easy to comb after towel drying (which is usually almost impossible). The product is quite heavy so I wouldn’t apply to the roots but it worked a treat for my dry ends! Only negative is the smell – it’s a strong, grassy scent which can be a bit overpowering but conscious clients who want natural products with natural ingredients will probably overlook this.

Daily shampoo

Jennie – The radiance conditioner had a really thick texture which I liked, and smelt lovely but wasn’t too overpowering. After I rinsed off the conditioner, my hair felt really soft and once I dried it, it looked shiny and well-nourished. I have used it a few times and it seems to be doing a really good job on my hair, it looks healthy without getting rid of any of the colour.

Paige – I tried the Source Essentielle daily shampoo which has an extremely refreshing fragrance and gives my hair a natural feel. It works to gently cleanse and is particularly suitable for fine hair. I would advise using this shampoo followed by another clarifying shampoo to ensure it doesn’t weigh my hair down. It also looks pretty on the bathroom shelf with its unique transparent design. I’m excited to try out the rest of the organic range.
