End of year review part three

As 2015 comes to a close, we take a look at the year and highlight some of the most memorable moments here at Ellisons.

As summer came to a close, Ellisons launched two new My Beautiful Eyes retail products, the lash and brow conditioner and Mylash mascara.

The lash and brow conditioner is a fantastic retail product to be used inbetween Mylash treatments. This conditioner is recommended as part of any natural lash home care routine, as it nourishes and moisturises lashes, leaving them looking healthy and glossy. For optimal results, the lash and brow conditioner should be used daily and can also be used as a primer before applying mascara.

The Mylash mascara adds volume and can be used for both lash extensions and natural lashes. The product is also immune to smearing so sensitive types with easily irritated eyes or fragile lashes will appreciate the formula’s easy-off aspect.

Our beauty buyer, Sarah, trialled the products and said “Before I started using the My Beautiful Eyes lash and brow conditioner, my lashes felt coarse and unhealthy due to an excessive use of false lash clusters being applied all year round. I started to see a difference after five days, my brows felt softer and smoother, and my lashes were softer, no longer coarse and looked much healthier. The mascara applies lovely and definitely gives that added lift and volume to the extensions without clumping them together. I’m over the moon with the results.”

October

As the clocks went back and the evenings got darker, here at Ellisons we brightened things up by taking part in Nail Breast Cancer and Wear it pink. Throughout October, for every purchase of CND™Shellac™ and Vinylux™ Hot pop pink and Tutti frutti we donated £1.00 to the Future Dreams charity.

Along with this we also took part in national wear it pink day on 23 October. We asked the Ellisons employees to pick out their best pink outfits and take part in the coffee morning where we help activities such as pink pound, raffles and sweepstakes. Together we raised £977.76 for the breast cancer charities.

From 16 October, Ellisons also began to get into the Christmas spirit by launching the limited edition CND™Shellac™ ruby ritz and ice vapor. With record sales, both colours sold out in the first five weeks.

November

November

November was a busy month for Ellisons with both the launch of the college guide and Black Friday.

As the UK’s leading supplier of hair and beauty products, we to supply colleges nationwide with their college kits. We offer students everything they need to begin their career in hair and beauty and prepare them fully for that all-important first job. From bespoke kits to constant support, we strive to ensure that college students have the best possible start to their career. Our college guide provides an overview of everything we offer from exclusive brands and everyday essentials to furniture and equipment.

Black Friday originated in America and has now become a global phenomenon. This year Ellisons took part in pre Black Friday where we offered our customers’ fantastic discounts and tips so that they could take part themselves. We offered salons tanning, waxing and retail business tips to prepare for the big day to help boost their sales. Ellisons also launched fantastic Black Friday offers on a range of tanning products, furniture, electricals and My Beautiful Eyes products which was a huge success.

December

Entering December only means one thing, Christmas. This Christmas, Ellisons launched a social advent calendar campaign whereby each day leading up to Christmas we revealed a new ‘treat’ for our customers. These ‘treats’ consisted of giveaways such as the CND™ Vinylux Aurora collection, one of our best-selling CND™ collections this year, Wella Eimi styling products and the Babyliss Powerlite dryer. Other offerings included 50% off Cricket carbon comb pack, free delivery, vouchers and huge discounts on straighteners and Babyliss perfect curl. This campaign was a huge success and had a record number of competition entries.
