Discover the latest trends in beauty this week as we reveal a brand new tip each day in our #WeekOfBeauty.
Monday – Faux freckles
Create a fresh-faced summer look with the faux freckle trend. The last few summers have seen the return of this trend, which has been a huge high fashion hit, as well as being popular on the high street. To create realistic freckles that last for days, try St.Tropez’s fashion week technique, using their classic bronzing mousse and a bronzer brush. Spray mousse in the lid of the can and swirl the brush into the product. Then flick the bristles of the brush at your client’s face to create a sun-kissed, freckled look.
Tuesday – Bright nails
Liven up your client’s summer nails by ensuring you have plenty of vibrant shades on offer this season. CND™Shellac™ have some fabulous polishes that are guaranteed to make your client stand out from the crowd. We love shades Tropix, Aqua-intance and Pink Bikini for an ultimate summer manicure. All of these shades are also available in Vinylux™, making them the perfect product to retail to your customers.
Wednesday – Matte-look base
Provide clients with a flawless, airbrushed base look with a matte finish foundation. This type of finish is ideal for clients with oily skin and also prevents make-up sliding off the face in the hotter weather. We recommend Sleek MakeUP’s creme to powder foundation, as this will offer a lightweight matte finish for your client and is available in a wide range of shades. It also contains SPF15, perfect for the sunshine.
Thursday – 60s pastel lips
Embrace the free spirited 60’s look by adding pastel lip shades into your professional make-up collection. This popular trend can be worn alongside a classic black winged liner for an authentic 60s look or dress down this bright lip look with natural eyes and base. Sleek MakeUP’s true colour lipstick range offer a number of shades that are perfect for this look. We love shades peaches and cream and baby doll.
Friday – Bronzed Skin
Tanning is one of the most requested beauty services during the summertime, as everyone is eager to achieve that healthy, bronzed glow. To ensure your clients beloved tan lasts for as long as possible, recommend that they moisturise with the St.Tropez tan enhancing body moisturiser, which promises to prolong any tan for up to 3 days longer. We also love the St.Tropez powder bronzer, which enhances a tan and is suitable for both face and body. For occasions where clients need to achieve their colour fast, we recommend St.Tropez instant tan as this creates a bronzed look instantly and is guaranteed to last for 24 hours. Retail all of these products to customers to ensure they make the most of their bronzed skin.
Saturday – Well behaved brows
While bleached brows have made a recent appearance on the catwalk, darker, fuller brows are still very much on trend, with celebrities, such as Cara Delevigne, showing off their natural, thicker eyebrows. With thicker brows comes unruly hairs so we recommend using the Mybrows brow fix to tame your client’s eyebrows and fix shape and style.
Sunday – Minimal makeup
With celebrities such as Alicia Keys and Beyoncé recently showing off their make-up free faces, natural, minimal make-up looks are popping up all over social media. For a chic, off duty make-up look, we recommend a combination of dewy skin, natural lips and subtle lashes. Moisturising lip balm Carmex is an essential product to guarantee soft, chap-free lips. It will also add a sheer gloss to natural lips, as well as much needed moisture, ensuring lips are in perfect condition for this minimal look. This product can be retailed to customers who want to embrace the au natural look.
